There are two things that you need to pay for in STEPN:
- GAS FEES. These are transaction fees paid whenever you try to transfer your assets between your STEPN inventory (Spending Account) and your wallet. Gas fees are paid using the appropriate token for each network:
- Solana for the SOL realm
- BNB for the BSC realm
- Ethereum for the ETH realm.
- ASSETS. STEPN lets you buy and sell several assets, such as Sneakers, shoeboxes, minting scrolls, and gems. These assets need to be purchased using GMT, and each network has its own version of GMT, and cannot be used interchangeably (i.e. you cannot use sGMT to purchase sneakers in the ETH realm):
- SOL realm uses sGMT
- BSC realm uses bGMT
- ETH realm uses eGMT
When purchasing assets, you need to decide first in which realm you will be playing STEPN. There are currently three Realms in STEPN, each one residing in a different network: SOL, BNB (also called BSC), and ETH.
Each realm has its own version of GMT as well. The SOL realm uses sGMT, BSC realm uses bGMT, and the ETH realm uses eGMT.
Whichever realm you choose, you will need to get the tokens for that network, and the GMT for that network.
I don't have SOL, how do I get SOL?
✅ You will need to change some fiat currency into SOL first. We suggest creating an account through popular exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, etc, as most of them allow purchasing of cryptocurrencies using credit cards or bank accounts. Most of these exchanges also offer step by step guides and videos of how to purchase cryptocurrencies:

Once you have SOL, you can transfer them from your Binance or Coinbase wallet into your STEPN wallet. Please make sure to choose the Solana Network (SOL) when transferring SOL to STEPN.
I don't have BNB, how do I get BNB?
✅ You will need to change some fiat currency into BNB first. We suggest creating an account through popular exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, etc, as most of them allow purchasing of cryptocurrencies using credit cards or bank accounts. Most of these exchanges also offer step by step guides and videos of how to purchase cryptocurrencies:

I don't have GMT, how do I get GMT?
✅ You will need to change some fiat currency into GMT that is suitable for the realm you will be staying in.
We suggest creating an account through popular exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, etc, as most of them allow purchasing of cryptocurrencies using credit cards or bank accounts. Most of these exchanges also offer step by step guides and videos of how to purchase cryptocurrencies:

Once you have GMT, you can transfer them from your Binance or Coinbase account into your STEPN wallet. Please make sure to choose the right network (Sol, BSC/BEP20/BNB, or ERC-20) for the right realm (don't choose "SOL" if you're transferring bGMT, as bGMT is for BSC realm).
